The omnipresence of the symbols of sun in both the main door to the cathedral and the ceiling somehow has a deep mystery. The sunlight and the candle light brighten the church beautifully. Several renovations were made over few years. The interior looks like a man made garden giving a lovely sight. Student artworks are also kept and shown inside the church. A magnificent painting that makes you to think about the consequences of sins is also of terrible significance. It is a holy place as well as a place to know about numerous things and to enjoy a lot. You should bring your children along with you because it is a quite informative place.

The plaza is serving as the main market and one of the symbols of executive power of the nation. The main emphasizing feature in the square is the monument to the independence heroes of August 10, 1809. Several notorious sub buildings were established in the plaza. These buildings include the Metropolitan Cathedral, Carondelet Palace, the Archbishop's Palace, the Plaza Grande Hotel and the Municipal Palace.
